Scrtipt Reading: A SORT OF HOMECOMING

Musicians Give Back presents a reading of Duane Adler’s script A SORT OF HOMECOMING, followed by a live musical performance. This promises to be an exceptional night!

This event will be the first benefit for Musicians Give Back, a division of Artists Give Back. The long-term ambition of Artists Give Back (www.artistsgiveback.org), Musicians Give Back and its predecessors, Writers Give Back and Actors Give Back, is to create a permanent link between the artistic and charitable communities. Modeled after the Sundance Institute, a portion of any proceeds derived from the event or the sale of Duane's script will be donated to another non-profit, chosen by the writer. In this case, Adler (STEP UP, SAVE THE LAST DANCE) has selected Music Rising (www.musicrising.org), to be the beneficiary.

Apropos of the script, Music Rising donates instruments to musicians, schools and churches affected by Hurricane Katrina.
