What is Writers Give Book?
Writers Give Book is a book drive sponsored by Writers Give Back.
Who will we help?
Writers Give Back is teaming up with a fellow not-for-profit, First Book, to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their very first new book. Learn more at www.firstbook.org.
We will also be teaming up with local literacy groups to distribute used books as well as books for adults.
How can I help?
Writers Give Back has come up with a few easy ways for you to donate:
* On May 5th, from 8am-6pm we will be at the Actors Gang Theater (9070 Venice Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232) to collect your donations, please click HERE for directions.
Or:
* You can access our First Book Virtual Book Drive, by clicking HERE.
Or:
* You may email john@writersgiveback.org to arrange pickup of your books from your home, office, or set.
Or:
* If you can't make the book drive May 5th, but still want to donate your used books, you can ship them directly to Better World Books. This organization works hand-in-hand with First Book by making your donated used books available for sale on over 17 online marketplaces. Once the books are sold, BWB contributes a portion of the proceeds to First Book.
