Writers Give Back is putting together a team to build a park in South LA with The Los Angeles Land Trust. We’d love to come in a big group ready to have fun, get dirty, and meet new people.

Who:
The Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust (LANLT) is an independent non-profit organization that facilitates the creation of small, accessible community green and open space, such as parks and gardens, to address the inequity of open spaces in Los Angeles’ underserved neighborhoods, and to ensure community participation and collaboration in every step of the process of creating these parks and community gardens.

When:
The park build is on March 19th from 8:30a - 5p..... and for those of you who really want to make a difference, they are especially in need of build captains to work two days - March 17th (from 9a - 4p) & 19th. These are all day commitments basically. However, if you don’t have an entire day to spare, stop by anyway! Even a half-day with us would make a difference.

How to get involved?
Please email me! (nikiah@writersgiveback.org) or call 310-467-8624 so that I can get you all signed up with them.

Other Fun Stuff:
There will be food, celeb sightings, and interesting networking opportunities. Have kids? Friends have kids? Bring them! There’ll be an Eco Station with animals to pet and other fun activities.

Best,

Niki Williams,
